I was surfing the Internet yesterday when I came across to the link to the list of the airfields that were either captured and re-used or constructed by Allied engineering units in the ETO from June 1944 to May 1945.
http://afhra.maxwell.af.mil/world_war2/usaaf_european_airfields.pdf [2,3 MB]
The 87-page document was published by USAF Historical Research Center in 1988. Obviously, ss far as researching strafing missions to Bohemia is concerned only a part of it is handy – thet one contating bases located in Germany used by the 9th Air Force fighter groups in April and May 1945.
One should keep in her/his mind the fact that the dates mentioned in the text refer to the bases, not to particular units that were diployed here, this data should be collect at different sources – at Air War Web Portal, for instance.
